We are pleased to announce that bookings for the 2026 Export Control and Sanctions Symposium are now open. Places are limited and expected to fill quickly.
The Symposium will take place on Wednesday 14 October 2026, 8.45am – 5pm, Leonardo Royal Hotel, Tower Bridge, London E1 8GP
Attendance is open to exporters and service providers of all sizes at a cost of £396 (Including VAT) per person. Please review the registration requirements below before booking your place.
In addition to the opening Plenary, there are now four workshop choices delivered by ECJU, OTSI and partner organisations, as well as some joint sessions.
The popular Knowledge Hub returns with an extended lunchtime session, providing direct access to representatives from across EC&S, wider government and trade associations who can answer your questions and offer practical guidance.
Please complete a separate registration for each delegate.
Due to anticipated high demand, registrations will initially be limited to two delegates per business unit/division. Large organisations may register delegates from separate business units or divisions. Consulting, freight forwarding and law firms are limited to one delegate per organisation.

Consider this class that Howard Spieler (he’s the president of the NY ACSS chapter) is running at Rutgers:
I’m excited to share that I’ve been given the opportunity to teach a new graduate course this fall at Rutgers University – School of Criminal Justice, and I’d love your help spreading the word. Because the course was added after registration opened, many students may not know it exists yet, so if you’re a current hashtag#Rutgers MA/ hashtag#CriminalJustice student, or know one, please share this post or pass it along.
The course is 27:202:652 – Issues in Criminology: Investigating & Prosecuting Sanctions, Money Laundering, & Transnational Crime. It looks at hashtag#financialcrime enforcement from the perspective of the hashtag#prosecutors, federal agents, and hashtag#regulators who build these cases, not the compliance view most programs teach (including myself at Montclair State University).
Students will work through DOJ’s role as the apex hashtag#enforcement authority, the five major pillars of hashtag#financialcrime (hashtag#sanctions, hashtag#exportcontrols, hashtag#moneylaundering, counter-terrorist financing (hashtag#ctf), and hashtag#bribery), a required text tracing the post-9/11 financial enforcement architecture, and real DOJ case studies throughout.
We’ll also be joined by guest practitioners with firsthand experience in federal law enforcement, criminal prosecution, hashtag#cartelfinancing and the intelligence community, sessions I think will be genuinely memorable for the students in the room.

OFSI Webinar: Civil Enforcement Processes – Updated Guidance

Feedback from this consultation has informed a strengthened enforcement framework, and OFSI updated its guidance on 9 February 2026 to reflect these enhancements. The guidance can be found here.
This session will provide an opportunity to walk through the key changes in OFSI’s enforcement and monetary penalties guidance and highlight important points for industry. The webinar is designed to support understanding of the updates and their implementation.

- How to use the ‘Apply to Export Controlled Goods Service’: Determining Ultimate End Users (24th March, 1–2pm) This webinar will help you understand how to determine and manage end users versus ultimate end users, including a live demonstration.
- How to use the ‘Apply to Export Controlled Goods Service ‘: Editing Applications (22nd April, 10–11am) Learn how to edit draft and submitted applications and follow best practice for checking and amending your applications.
