Ordinance of 5. January 2026 on the blocking of assets related to Venezuela (adjustment of the annex)

On the 16th On the basis of Article 5 of the Federal Act on the Blocking and Refund of Unlawfully Acquired Assets of Foreign Persons (SRVG; SR 196.1), the EDAD has adapted the Annex to the Ordinance on the Blocking of Assets in Connection with Venezuela (Venezuela Regulation; SR 196.127.85). The change will take effect on 16. October 2026 at 9 a.m.

Persons and institutions who hold, manage or have knowledge of assets of persons in Switzerland that fall under a blocking measure under Art. 3 SRVG must immediately block such assets and report them to the Money Laundering Reporting Office (MROS). Persons and institutions include financial intermediaries.
