On September 23, 2026, Canada announced new sanctions against five individuals and five entities under the Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations. The new measures entered into force on September 22, 2026. See the news release.

The specific prohibitions are set out in the Regulations Amending the Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations.
