June 16, 2026: Canada sees OFSI’s 70 Russia designations, and raises them another 92 listings


On June 16th, 2026, Canada announced new sanctions under the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations targeting Russia’s shadow fleet, energy revenues, defence-industrial, and disinformation actors. This package will target a total of 162 individuals, entities, and vessels – all assets of the Russian war machine. The specific prohibitions are set out in Regulations Amending the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations
